Join ABAC Bainbridge at the first Carter Arts and Lecture Series event of the year - Thursday, October 10th. Travel back to the 80s on Thursday, October 10th with acclaimed tribute band The Breakfast Club. Formed in 1993, The Breakfast Club bills itself as the longest running, most recognized 80s tribute band in the United States. The four-person group uses authentic 80s equipment to bring back the authentic sound from the heyday of music television. From modern rock to synth-pop and glam metal to punk, The Breakfast Club hits the highlights of the era, with a song list featuring everything from Bon Jovi, Def Leppard, and Van Halen to Pat Benatar, Duran Duran and Michael Jackson. River South is a music and art festival born in Downtown Bainbridge, Georgia. The 2024 River South festival features a variety of musical artists and will be headlined by Christian Hayes! Activities throughout the day consisting of yoga, shopping, dining, visual art demonstration, and vendors. Activities throughout the day include: Sidewalk Chalk Art Contest (9:30 AM-2:00 PM): Watch as the streets transform into canvases for chalk artists of all skill levels, creating colorful works of art. Participants can compete for fun prizes while the crowd enjoys the display. Tap Dancing by YMCA (9:30 AM): Don't miss a special performance of lively tap dancing brought to you by the talented performers from the YMCA. Their energetic routine will add rhythm and excitement to the day?s festivities. Yoga at Willis Park (10:30 AM): Start your day in a peaceful way with a refreshing morning yoga session, setting the perfect tone for a full day of festivities.
