UPDATE: DUE TO COVID AND RESTRICTIONS ON ATTENDANCE, OUR AUGUST CHAMBER CONNECT HAS BEEN CANCELLED.

Our August Chamber Connect will be our second Chamber Connect Luncheon in 2020 and our first in-person networking opportunity since COVID-19!  The upcoming presentation will be given by the Decatur County Board of Education and BHS Football Program. The program is graciously sponsored by Chamber of Commerce Member, First National Bank of Decatur County. Lunch will be catered by Gay's Seafood.  

Help us keep our event safe and comfortable.  The Chamber of Commerce staff and event sponsors have had the task of innovating ways to safely execute this event and accommodate members' various levels of comfort.   Considering the overall health climate and out of an abundance of caution, only ONE representative per business are allowed to attend Chamber Connect Luncheons during this time.  Registration is now required and must be submitted by 5PM on Tuesday, August 18th so staff may effectively plan for distance seating.  Staff kindly asks registrants to not attend if they are sick, if they have been recently exposed to someone who is sick or if they have the following symptoms: fever, cough, and/or shortness of breath.

The safety and comfort of our attendees is of the upmost importance.  Staff will provide hand-washing stations onsite and are now considered mandatory by the venue.  Color coded bracelets that reflect an attendee's level of concern for contact will be available as well as opportunities to sit at tables further separated from high traffic areas.  For members unable to attend due to health concerns or for business representatives unable to attend due to our new attendance limitations, the Chamber of Commerce is happy to provide a link to attend the luncheon virtually. 

Staff will continue to closely follow recommendations provided by government entities and health organizations leading up to the the event.
